This profile was originally made when I, Tippin, was traveling solo through Europe and the USA. For the past 3 years my boyfriend Christian and I have been backpacking through North and Central America with many more plans to explore all over the world. Our next long-term trip is through Asia. My Couchsurfing photo is on Facebook so you can check me out there as well. Currently, we live in a small beach town in North Carolina, but every few months we make it our goal to travel.

What we want to get out of Couchsurfing: in our experiences, staying with locals makes the travel experience 10x more authentic. We want to learn about your culture and we prefer to support local businesses whenever we can. We want to explore the hidden gems, not solely the tourist attractions. But, most importantly, we enjoy creating connections with people, and what better place to do that than with a host such as yourself.

As guests: we realize that not everyone has the space to accommodate 2 people. As guests in your home we will uphold the values of Couchsurfing etiquette. We are grateful for a roof over our heads and a place to rest our bodies. We pack light when we travel but we like to bring goodies to our hosts to say “thank you.”

Our interests: we are all about living like locals: food/drink, music, entertainment. In our free time we enjoy surfing, yoga, adrenaline sightseeing, and food!! Even if we only have a few things in common, the beauty of Couchsurfing is learning from people who are different from you.
