Kia Ora Hello! I'm from New Zealand, I am a solo female traveller living the dream exploring Europe with all the freedom in the world (.. well, almost ;)). I have been travelling for 5 months now,
I love outdoor activities like hiking, rock climbing, caving and slacklining, but I also love chilling out by reading books, sharing stories, and writing in my journal. Creating connections and interacting with people make me feel alive and fuels my passion for travel.

Sharing stories and experiences with other people to understand more about this world and the cultures within it. I'm fascinated by how other people live their lives in different countries. It's the small things really like how people greet each other on the streets, do they smile or do they say something, or perhaps nothing at all. I like how dogs are allowed in some cafes, I like that it's so normal for people to kiss each other on the cheek when they meet. I love the dancing and the live music scene and people are not as afraid to wear whatever they want. This is all different to home life and I LOVE it.
I hope that meeting locals through Couch Surfing and experiencing a small part of their life can open my eyes and help me become a well-rounded, grateful traveller. I always remember the times when I met a local and experienced the country their way, rather than as a tourist.

My favourite book has to be Harry Potter because I'm reading it at the moment. SO good!
For music, I love 90's dance music or pretty anything I can sing or dance to - especially at a party or a club.

Une aventure extraordinaire que j'ai vécue

The first thing that came to mind was the time I swam with fluorescent plankton at a small, deserted beach on the west coast of New Zealand. A group of friends and I were swimming at midnight and the whole ocean was glowing blue around us!
