ABOUT ME

I guess my friends might describe me as independent, friendly, hospitable, kind and witty. Sometimes I can be a little quiet and let others do all the talking and then other times I can be the life and soul! Put me on a dancefloor and the real me comes out! No inhibitions there! I tend to feel more comfortable in small groups or one to ones. I'm not into clubs or pubs but love eating out or in meeting for coffee and showing people round this beautiful city that I live in!

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Offering to host whenever I can. I have plenty of experience (14 yrs) hosting foreign language students from all over the world, France, Germany, Austria, Italy, Hungary, Poland, Switzerland, Japan, Korea, Taiwan, to name a few.....and never tire of hearing about people lives.

LIKES: First signs of spring, cooking for my friends, my bed, marmite, the ocean, Earl Grey tea, big breakfasts, coffee & walnut cake, when the yolk bursts in a fried egg roll, cycling - especially up hills (weird I know), meditation, foreign films, laughing till my tummy hurts or my cheeks ache (steady!), dancing like there's no tomorrow, losing hours in my garden, waking up to sunshine, cuddles, architecture that takes your breathe away, getting from A to B in new place without getting lost..... DISLIKES: People who throw rubbish out of their car windows, or anywhere for that matter, the rubbish bag bursting before I can get it outside, hairs in the bath, cold feet, bad hair days, throwing things away. I abhor any form of racism, cruelty to humans or animals! Food packaging, to name a few!

I am a big fan of foreign language films, weepies and silly comedies. I love all kinds of music, blues, classical, R&B, Motown, you name it! I enjoy singing when I have the opportunity (have just started group singing lessons).

Kayaked round the Ang Thong Marine Park off Koh Samui in Thailand! Lots of other little things which I have found amazing in my own way - doesn't take much to amaze me!
