About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Finding my place in the world. And enjoying the journey!

ABOUT ME

An optimist, idealist, yet realist. Perfectionist, have to admit. I don't like planning ahead (because life happens while you plan it, right?) and I try not to worry about things to come. I could call myself a true tree hugger. I tend to get angry at the humankind every now and then, but just ignore it :).

Most of my friends would describe me as a rational person, but I do often burst into tears when reading the newspaper or watching a movie. The insanity and beauty of the world never seize to amaze me.

I enjoy deep discussions, Iove impulsive people and crazy ideas, can't do much lounging - I admit being a bit restless. But I'm waiting to calm down a bit, and maybe finding a permanent address. And getting a garden with apple trees.

PHILOSOPHY

As one great Finn, Uma Aaltonen, once said:
'Follow the star on your forehead.'

The quote works better in Finnish...and you have probably NO IDEA on what it means if you don't know anything about horses. But it has definitely shaped my way of thinking for the past, don't know, 15 years or so.

Right now I'm learning to unlearn. And learning to take it easy and be less hard on myself.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Surfed in Lima, Perú, in 2012. Now I'm putting my energy into learning bio-dynamic agriculture and letting go of the non-necessities in my life. I currently reside in Córdoba, Argentina, but have no permanent address. So I might (or we, since I'm traveling with my partner) be in need of a couch somewhere along the way.
I tried to become a host at some point, but it never worked out because of my constant traveling, moving or not-so-excited-to-host flatmates. I've lived in shared flats almost my whole life.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Only a few experiences so far, but only amazing ones. I feel privileged to have made some great friends through CS.

Interests

Small things in life. Nature, sports (running, cycling, dancing), horses, films, books, yoga. Environmental issues, politics and equality.

(At the end, I want nothing less than to save the world. Or, at least to do my best to save at least a little.)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
