About Me

I am a 28 year old software developer and an avid triathlete. Currently working at General Motors Finance and loving it. On the weekends I am a skydiving instructor and general adrenaline junkie with a fondness for sunshine and beer.

If you are trying to crash a place the same day or less than 3 days out don't bother requesting from me.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm a fan of living rough while traveling and going off the beaten path. Also to interact with people I otherwise would not.

Interests

I read a lot and love literature and all around good stories. I am an avid triathlete and I like any outdoors physical activity. I'm a skydiving instructor on the weekends.

I homebrew a lot too.

Music, Movies, and Books

Too many of all three categories to mention, but if I had to say anything I would say that I am a fan of heavy metal, classic literature and old films, especially westerns.

Book: Don Quixote (I read it once a year)
Film: Oldboy
Music: AC/DC (nothing quite captures of the spirit of rock like AC/DC)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

My first BASE jump off the Perrine Bridge in Twin Falls, Idaho.

Teach, Learn, Share

I am quite fluent in Arabic and I have a plethora of experiences in that region to share with anyone who wishes to listen.

I can teach you how to properly pack a skydiving parachute, brew beer or make cider (super easy and delicious), repair a bicycle, speak/read a little Arabic. Write some code, and I can cook a ton of different things. I make a lot of excellent dishes using a crockpot but am not limited to anything in particular. Lazy cooking is merely my preferred method of making things.

What I Can Share with Hosts

My experience in a variety of topics ranging from technical, survival, skydiving, cycling, outdoors, languages etc.

Countries I’ve Visited

Bahamas, Canada, France, Germany, Greece, Iraq, Kuwait, Mexico, Netherlands, Scotland, Spain, Ukraine, United Arab Emirates, United Kingdom, Viet Nam

Countries I’ve Lived In
