ABOUT ME

I've always been geographically and culturally curious I started hitch-hiking in 3rd grade (got a whoopin' but it didn't stop me) I have worked seasonally fishing in Alaska For the past 30 years,this has allowed a lot of time for travel and cultivating relationships with people and sharing living spaces(sometimes quite small). I share my home with fishing and life partner Catie, we have two daughters who are now out in the world but they come home in the summer to fish with us in Bristol Bay. I enjoy skiing , hiking, cycling, and traveling when not fishing... I'm currently working as a fisherman in the summer months and as an RN in the off season. My dream is to fish salmon in the summer and be a do-gooder nurse in places of need... still idealistic and restless after all these years. We often share our home and meals with travelers... I feel richly blessed to live where we do and love to share my amazing multi-million acre backyard (Alaska)with others..

We have hosted a handfull of people here in Homer , surfed a bit on the east coast... Before CS tons of old school hosting and surfing.We have primarily been Hosts here in... its like traveling...when we have surfers with us

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Sunrise at Maccu Piccu, Togiak herring fishery, The birth of my daughters,Treking in the Cordillera Real Boliva with my family, Cycling the coast and islands of Croatia, Sailing the coast of Patagonia... waking up this morning.
