ABOUT ME

Over four years ago I promised my cousin Sophia that we would take a trip to Europe when she graduated high school. The time has come and I am making good on my promise. I am looking forward to sharing some of the places I love, and she seems to be ready for anything and everything (which is good, because I expect the unexpected).
I am a small person with a big personality and have a bad habit of challenging bigger boys to drinking and arm wrestling competitions, which I usually (but not always) lose. I would much rather visit a place and spend all my time eating, drinking and talking with locals than "seeing the sights."

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

When I travel, I love getting past the typical tourist activities and learning about the people and culture. I think CouchSurfing encourages this kind of experience and that's why I am a part of it.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I started hosting when I was living on my own in Bosnia and a) was surprised to have anyone request in the first place and b) had a great time getting to know the people I hosted. CS seems to attract the kind of people that I enjoy meeting. I haven't done much surfing yet, but hope to start the next chapter of my couchsurfing adventure this summer when I head back to Europe with my cousin.

我做过的一件不可思议的事情

I heard a Serbian cover of Celine Dion's "My Heart Will Go On" or whatever that song from Titanic was called. That was pretty amazing.
More recently, I've seen and heard many of my friends and colleagues (myself included) say "I'm proud to be American" for the first time in years. The election night victory celebration was unreal and the inauguration was beautiful.
