About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To take Europe by storm

ABOUT ME

At the moment, it's difficult for me to choose a profile picture that's recent because as of late, I've taken to making faces at every camera I notice that's pointed at me. I do it because I'm not photogenic anyway, so I might as well go all out. WhatEVAH, I do what I want!
Oh screw it...here's one with a Slytherin tie.

PHILOSOPHY

At heart, I know I'm fun, flirty, sensitive and all that junk. The thing is, I hardly ever show it. So what I've made it a mission to do is find things and/or people that bring that out in me without the influence of alcohol or other substances (I can't be drunk for the rest of my life, my liver would HATE me).

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Basically, I'm looking for people to travel with. I've got a list of places in Europe I'd like to go and I don't want to do it alone. It's a matter of scheduling, though. Working at an American organization near Brussels means I get Thanksgiving free...anyone interested in Sweden?

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

The only time I went couch surfing was when I was in Goslar, Germany with some friends for Walpurgisnacht. The woman we stayed with lived in a castle in the middle of town and I slept in a kiddie bed. The combination was some kind of awesome.

Interests

Travelling, reading, cooking, eating, learning other languages, trashy TV (on occasion), guilty pleasures having to do with vampires, Harry Potter, tea, chocolate, bicycling, learning about things that are out of my comfort zone

Music, Movies, and Books

Fight Club, Inglourious Basterds, The Vampire Diaries (hey, at least it trumps Twilight), True Blood, Harry Potter, Interview with the Vampire (I'll stop with the Brad Pitt movies eventually...), Pirates of the Caribbean, books that fall in the Enlightenment area, Kafka, Oomph!, Tocotronic, Flogging Molly, Lady Gaga, and classical music

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I had the most perfect 21st birthday anyone could ever have. If you don't want a novel and a half of details, the short story is that I went with my cousins and my friend to Orlando, FL to the Wizarding World of Harry Potter. I went through Hogsmeade, ordered a drink at the Hog's Head and went into Hogwarts castle. Twice. All of my childhood dreams = fulfilled.

Teach, Learn, Share

Not sure what I can teach/learn/share until I actually meet a person and we start talking...We're all individuals with our own unique experiences, so by starting to interact and step into each others' shoes, we don't really know what direction our lives will take as a result. Exciting, no?
