Hi there!
My name is Tobias, right now I'm on Erasmus in Coimbra, Portugal and study in my fifth year of Medicine. I was born and raised in Munich, but also spend some time living in London, and always stay curious about where to move to next. I would describe myself as a very sociable person, I love talking to people and frankly, I do talk a lot. Right now, I'm preparing to run a marathon with a friend, I try to see the most of Portugal and really live the moment (as it is back to finals when in finish my Erasmus). I play the piano, sail, am a hobby chef and spend my remaining time learning Portuguese.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

As about everybody here, I like traveling a lot! But I also like the idea of giving and receiving, so I want to show visitors of my part of the world the same hospitality that I experienced every time I went abroad. Furthermore, I am currently on Erasmus in Portugal and traveling a lot around the Iberian peninsula, so I'm interested in meeting some new people wherever I go.

Music, Movies, and Books

Right now, Caravan Palace got a big part of my attention, but I also enjoy Jazz and Rock/Pop, whats not to like. In Coimbra I met a Czech guy and we're currently thinking of starting a small band. One of the things I enjoy most about meeting new people is to sit together and show each other the music we're into. I'm also a fan of 20th century literature and I love the theater.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I ski-hiked the "Summet de Diablerets" and got to enjoy the view over the Mont Blanc and the Matterhorn at the same time.

What I Can Share with Hosts

For once, a couch! In addition I am open for suggestions, I can do from cooking together, over homemade cocktails to going wild and Party all night, I even do guided tours for fun!
