ABOUT ME

I am on exchange at the University of British Columbia for the spring 2016. I find the nature astonishing. At UBC I am a member of the Varsity Outdoor Club. With this club I have slept in home build snow caves and hiked beautiful mountains. I am a climber, so if you are up for some climbing, I am in. I rented a pair of skis for the season and have a pass for Whistler, so if you are up for skiing, I am in for that as well.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have been on a road trip in USA where we were 4 guys who lived with a family in Utah for some days. It was a very good experience and when I have my own house, I will definitely by sharing it with others.

Interests

I like hiking in the backcountry. I like to sail, windsurf and fishing in the ocean. I like to build stuff from trash I find in dumbsters. I like cooking. I like to brew beer and drink it afterwards. And I like good weather.

Music, Movies, and Books

I like music like Creedence Clearwater Revival, Dire Straits, Pink Floyd, The Doors, Gorillaz. I like movies like The Blues Brothers, Pulp Fiction, westerns like The Good, the Bad and the Ugly and everything made by Hayao Miyazaki. I loved to read Harry Potter when I was younger and now I like most books that is well written.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I was working as i lifegaurd in a swimming hall where I "trained" a blind 7 year old kid. We basicly just played. But he wanted to try the 3 meter springboard, so I took him up there and after some time talking things through, he made the jumb, and next time he found his own way up there. Maybe it was not me who did anything, but I think it was pretty amazing.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can cook and be good company on long hikes.
