ABOUT ME

Casual, friendly, outdoorsy, clean, kind. I am easy going, nothing really bothers me, I love to be outside, can't get enough time in backpacking, skiing, frisbee etc. I work hard play hard, and like to share those experiences with other people.

Be happy for where you are. Most of us are lucky humans. Appreciate whats yours by being humble, but also by enjoying the things and people you have!

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I am new to couchsurfing in general. I'd look forward to hosting people, I lived in a small 1 bed apartment with my girlfriend and cat until recently, so moving out will open doors.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I hosted someone before I had an account. Pretty fun to meet the passing stranger, he came through town from San Francisco for a small festival, I put him up, we made food together the next morning, then he drove off into the sunrise, it was a sweet experience.

Zainteresowania

Backpacking, skiing, science!, travel, music. I study climate science from the perspective of a biogeochemist. I love to nerd out about nature, ecology, soils, chemistry, but enjoy being stupid as much as I enjoy being serious.

My current job as a graduate student studying Soil Biogeochemstry has fused my fascination with science, and my interest in the outdoors. I am excited to have a job where I get to study the nuances of the natural world that has always been a part of my life.

Love to listen to music. Grateful dead, Bob Marley, Led Zeppelin, Destroyer, Daft Punk, Rubblebucket. I like everything.

Favorite book is often the most recent. Right now I feel Cat's Cradle by Kurt Vonnegut, his absurd world is a fun one.

Hiking the Pacific Crest Trail from Mexico to Canada. Being alone outdoors is a unique and intimidating experience. Without the concerns of regular life it becomes easier to evaluate what is important. It's worth the trip.

I love science. In my job, we can dig a hole in the ground and try to interpret the environment and its history together. Or just talk about it.

Czym mogę się podzielić z gospodarzami

We can listen to music, talk about science, or just laugh about stuff. But I will definitely cook you a great meal or two or three if I can!
