Overview
About Me
CURRENT MISSION
I'm trying to see as much of the US as possible while I have a car here
ABOUT ME
Calm and easy-going, Straightforward, likes a drink, always up for something new. Love the ocean as well, though I'm used to warmer waters.
PHILOSOPHY
The philosophy of Karma is something that I think everyone should practice (regardless of whether they believe in it or not) so I do my best to maintain positive Karma.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I am a bit pedantic about cleaning up after myself and enjoy helping out in day to day tasks. Working with someone is a great way to get to know them and learn something new.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
Still pretty new to this but the last month or so I've stayed with a few different people in the northeast of the US and Canada. Every time I've stayed with someone very different and it's all been good. Some people have had all the time in the world to chat others have just given me a shower and a hot meal which is always awesome.
Interests
Travel is one of my main interests, it's all I seem to think about while I'm working at home. Also anything involving the ocean. My favorite pastime is diving; scuba, free-diving and or spearfishing.
- mardi gras
- drinking
- shopping
- traveling
- scuba diving
Music, Movies, and Books
Movies; Action and comedies from the horribly ridiculous to classics. I also love a good documentary.
Music; Eclectic taste leaning towards classic rock. Minimal interest in electronic music unless it's chill-out.
Books; I read mostly fantasy and historical fiction. Currently reading a lot of historical fiction
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
My current travel adventure started up in the Yukon Canada where I worked in a gold mine for a while, then I traded my end of season bonus for an old company car and started road tripping. I drove into Alaska then south through BC and Alberta to the west coast of the USA then east through the southern states to Louisiana for Mardi Gras. From there I went with some friends up to New York for a month then back down to Texas for SXSW before heading into Florida. Once my US visa expired I went down the east coast of Mexico to central America. I stopped in Honduras and worked in a dive shop on Utila for almost 5 months before starting back on the road trip. I drove back up along the west coast of Mexico this time through Baja to California. From Cali I drove across the US stopping at every national park I found to Maine. Now I'm back in Canada after leaving almost 2 years ago.
Teach, Learn, Share
I enjoy talking and learning from anyone who has a completely different perspective or has lived outside what people consider the "norm"
