Hey my names Toby. I’m 18 from England and I’ve just finished my first year on University in Aberystwyth, Wales where I’m studying Fine Art. My two main goals in life are to travel and to create art- so during my summer I’m solo backpacking through Europe !!

Por qué estoy en Couchsurfing

I’m on Couchsurfing as for me travelling is about experiencing a different culture and learning to appreciate what’s different. I rather stay with local people who know their city and see the city from a new perspective, one I wouldn’t see if I were to stay in a hotel or even a hostel. I have spent over a week living in Genova, Italia with my friend Nonna and the experience has been unlike anything else before; being surrounded by the language, learning to live as a local and being with someone who is passionate about their city has dramatically improved and changed my perception of travelling for the better. These unique experiences are why I want to Couchsurf

Intereses

My main interests are definitely travelling, art and photography. I also love camping, something I do a lot in North Wales whilst I’m at uni or down on the Isle of Purbecks when I’m at home. Another hobby of mine is kayaking, I do this in the sea and the river and the harbour, it’s one of my favourite things but is very weather dependent which is a shame as I like in the UK

Música, películas y libros

My favourite artist would have to be Lana Del Rey. I love a lot of music but for me there is no one quite like her. Her voice and sound just speaks to me and nothing else quite beats her! I love Harry Potter, the films but especially the books. And a few of my favourite films would be Jurassic Park, Titanic, Clueless and Home Alone

Algo increíble que he hecho

I think the most amazing thing I’ve done so far is this, travelling. I’m away for two months alone backpacking through Europe with no real plan. I’m not too sure what the experience will be like but I’m loving it so far.
