Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I've just signed up, but always loved the idea. I'd like to meet some cool folks along the way and this seems like a pretty good place to do it.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Zero experience, I have a friend who has hosted and surfed and highly recommended it.

Interests

I like good movies, good music, and good bourbon. I spend most of my time enjoying one or more of those things. My hobbies include film hoarding and vinyl. I'm also into my backyard, digging weeds, planting plants, and enjoying a campfire next to the fish pond. I love live music and will primarily be using couch surfer to see shows out of town.

Music: Tom Waits, Modest Mouse, Dwight Yoakam, Man Man, Gogol Bordello, Joanna Newsom, Mountain Goats, I could make this list pretty long.
Movies: Wild at Heart, Killer Joe, Wrong, Boogie Nights, Oldboy (not the shitty remake), Squid and the Whale, Jeff Who Lives at Home, Vertigo, Samsara, Black Dynamite, Bad Lieutenant, My Son My Son What Have Ye Done, Take Shelter, I could make this one much much longer.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Tom Waits at the Ryman, Jeff Mangum at Kentucky Theater, aaaand The New Bomb Turks at some tiny club in Columbus I can't remember the name of.

Teach, Learn, Share

I think I'm a good house guest. I'll bring you a bottle of Kentucky bourbon and we can talk about life. I can tell you all about photoshop, photography, film, I can talk about different actors and directors and their bodies of work at great length, bands and their discographies, there's nothing in particular I'm looking to learn, but I'm sure there is plenty to be learned without choosing a category, I can also teach you how to overuse commas and type only in run-on sentences.
