About Me
CURRENT MISSION
To focus the varied bits of my life onto one definable challenge.
ABOUT ME
I'm a grad student in biology, studying fish (and occasionally squid) brains, especially the visual system and its development. Most of this is working on a microscope project designed to acquire 3D information from a single time point, using a technique called light field microscopy. I live in San Francisco and take the caltrain to school with my bike. Sometimes I ride home and seek out the oddly-placed or abandoned along the way. I love photographing these things, and other things, too.
If and when I graduate, I plan to drive from London to Mongolia, then go to Baja to open the hostel / rustico science lab I've been (slowly) working on with some friends for the past year, then return to the bay to grapple once more with the science.

Teach, Learn, Share
I like making stencils for clothing and other stuff. I have a machine that cuts vinyl into any shape you can draw with vector art; for each cutout, you get a sticker and a stencil! I like showing people how this works.
