About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Just got back from travelling Mexico and central America where I was lucky enough to meet some great people doing a mixture of couch surfing, hosteling and staying with families. Now I'm back home I'm looking to pay it forward and show people around my own city of Leeds and show them just how amazing Yorkshire is and share the good times.

ABOUT ME

In June 2010 I embarked on a 12 month world tour. I ditched the world of Financial Services for a year, bought a plane ticket and went around the world.

Since then I lived in Canada for a year and this year I have been travelling around central America - I lived in Guatemala for 3 months and then travelled around Costa Rica and Nicaragua and on to Mexico where I lived in Mexico City for 2 months.

I don't take life very seriously and find quite a lot of the world either fascinating or amusing. I've a great love of music, having played trumpet / keyboard in a Ska band on-off for years now and I'll listen to just about anything

Look forward to meeting you all, whoever you are!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Stayed with a few very brilliant hosts in New Zealand in 2011 and then in Mexico in 2016. Just love meeting other travellers from different parts of the world and sharing good times. Also looking to practice and improve my Spanish!

Interests

Music - listening to anything but mostly classic rock stuff like The Who, Led Zep, Fleetwood Mac, ELO, Pink Floyd. Also play the trumpet and keyboard in two Ska bands and like to strut my stuff on the Karaoke every once in a while.

Love watching any Football - Leicester City fan, love watching the cricket too. Now I'm back, gone hit up the gym a bit more and get back into doing the occassional run. I ran the marathon in 2010, but don't think I'll repeat that any time soon...
