Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Traveling and meeting new people along the way. Couchsurfing is an amazing way to discover the world - which is why I encourage friends to give it a try too!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Couchsurfed with a couple of friends in Budapest and Krakow in September 2011. It was our first time couchsurfing, we didn't know what to expect but we had a great time! And that was the beginning of my foray into the joys and thrills of couchsurfing :)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

This may not sound amazing or impressive to most but one of the most amazing things I have done is skiing in Feldberg in the Black Forest in September 2011. We don't have the luxury of snow and winter sports in Singapore, so it was truly a memorable experience. I survived, despite falling many times! It was also during this time that I had my first ever snowball fight! I hope it won't be my last :) My friend and I had so much fun that we missed our train to Basel. Heck - let's just have fun in the snow and worry about Basel later.

Between Dec 2013 and February 2014, I spent fifty days in Australia, travelling from Sydney to Surfers Paradise. Part of the trip was spent with friends, and part solo. Participated in helpx at three different places (Scotland Island, Kendall and Georgica), and got to dabble in some tough farm work, look after two amazing kids, meet and get to know locals (and then miss them dearly after returning home to Singapore).
