Hi, I’m Toine, 25 years old and from Utrecht, The Netherlands. Nice to meet you :). I’ve never couchsurfed, so let me introduce myself. I study Communication and Multimedia Design. Graphic design, concept creation and such. I’m part of an LGBT student association called Anteros. For work I’m a computer student that helps (mostly) older people at home or remotely with IT problems. So I’m a little bit of a nerd ;)

I love to meet new people, make new friends. Sometimes I could be a little bit shy but when I feel comfortable, I’ll open up :).

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I would like to meet new people, but most important: the locals. They can hopefully tell me about those hidden pearls in the city. ;) I’m also trying to improve my English cuz haven’t talked a lot of English since the lockdown. So please excuse my stonecoal English as we call it in Dutch.

Music, Movies, and Books

I'm not really a book person but as a kid I was addicted to comics like Asterix and Obelix, Donald Duck and Suske and Wiske.

My favorite sci-fi movie has got to be Interstellar, it lets you think about what could be and what could not be possible in our world. Also: Call Me By Your Name, my fav queer movie 💅.

I'm not really a series bingewatcher but I really love the serie Fargo (and the movie too). One of the weirdest and more sinister serie/movie I've seen.

And for music: I listen almost listen 24/7 to music. I mostly listen (lofi/classic) house, (experimental) electronic, techno, etc. Favorite artists are Flume, Jacques Greene, Tourist, CRi, Burial, Bicep, etc. And for techno I mostly go to 2 of the local techno clubs in Utrecht: Club Basis and WAS. And I play the Alto Saxophone sometimes 🎷🎷

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Skydiving 🤪 and went on a road-trip with a group in Surinam and Bali without any plan. We connected to locals and so we fixed sleeping places for the following days. It was beautiful and a very pure experience.

I’m little bit of a nerd. I work as a Computerstudent that helps people with all sorts of IT problems. So I can teach you all sorts of technical skills.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I’m a caring person that always wants to learn new things, make new friends, but I’m also a helping person. I love to get to know more about the cities I visit, do fun things together, explore, do stupid shit sometimes, etc.
