ABOUT ME

Given the name Joshua I was born and raised in the land of the long white cloud Aotearoa(N.Z.). In my relatively short time on this earth I have developed a real love for it's natural and man-made beauty, which is why I joined this community, to facilitate my experiencing of this great planet and I hope to help others do the same. I enjoy music (playing aswell as listening),the natural world, surfing, Propagating and cultivating(especially vegetables and fruit), Running and more. I am a student at The University of Canterbury at the moment and I have a proper interest for studying the workings of human language i.e. linguistics. I also study Spanish and Te Reo Maori to compliment my linguistic studies. I´ve just been to spain for study and travel and within the first few hours I was welcomed into the humble abode of my first couchsurfing hosts and I couldn´t have asked for a better introduction to couchsurfing and Spain itself. I intend to continue travelling and meet all the genuinely decent people in the world. hopefully see you along the way. =) Peace.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I am quite new to CS but those I have met who are part of the community have been incredibly open-minded,and friendly. I look forward to experiencing alot more of it.My first hosts were jesus and elisabeth in Madrid, Spain. They are the most welcoming and warm hosts I have ever met. I know that I will go and see them again someday and they´re always welcome to stay with me here in new zealand.

Music: Jimi Hendrix(Love most the albums but electric ladyland is the favourite) , The Beatles, Lynyrd skynyrd,John Mayer , Michael Jackson, Jason becker, Peter Tosh, Bob Marley, bach, Vivaldi, Paganini, Joshua Redman(Elastic band album is amazing), to name a few.

Books: All David Gemmell books, Herman Hesse books (especially Siddartha), Tolkien books, and many more.

Teach, Learn, Share

I´d be keen to teach and share with people tips and skills in the following fields: guitaring, English language skills, Organic Gardening, propagation, juicing recipes.

I´m keen on developing my knowledge of languages too, especially, Spanish, Latvian, Maori and Japanese. I love to "Jam" with others (musically) and I am intrigued by the various Spiritual teachings from the many different religions(and non-religions) throughout the world.
