Born and raised in the small town of Ficksburg, South Africa. Later moved to Lesotho. But now I'm a certified Cape Townian (Cape Townian: noun - a proud citizen of Cape Town).

One of my biggest dreams is to travel the world (mostly off the beaten track) and immerse myself in as many cultures as possible, and sponge off of their wisdom and as a result, grow as a person, and see the world with different eyes.

I often find myself immersed in deep conversation with people. Which is something that I truly yearn for. I've been told that I am friendly and conversational, of which I think is true :-)

I'm on Couchsurfing because I think it trumps the prospect of staying in hostels (of which would deprive me the pleasure and opportunity to truly get to know a place).

Nothing beats the joy of interacting with a local (or hosting somebody who has never been in the host country before)
