About Me

I am French, 25, just spent two years living in Reykjavik, Iceland and am now quitting my steady life to travel for a year, following opportunities wherever they might take me.

I'm not linking my profile to a facebook account only because I don't have a facebook account. Instead, please enjoy some pictures from Iceland on my flickr : https://www.flickr.com/photos/22hoursofnight/

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Despite being new on the website, I actually did host quite a lot of couchsurfers, friends of friends, or sometimes almost complete strangers during one year and a half of my life in Reykjavik. My flatmate at the time was the one having a CS account but since we were living in 35 ²m we definitely were both involved ahah. As far as I am concerned, it always was perfectly normal to have one or two (or four) people staying over with us and to share whatever we had. Our door was always open (literally), and some even ended up being very good friends who stayed with us for weeks.

I know for a fact that couchsurfing is a pretty cool way to travel, getting to meet people that actually know the place, and even sometimes making long-term friends that you meet again later on.

I've been working at a hotel for a year and a half, and am glad to know that there's a way much more funky alternative to it.

Interests

Traveling, discovering locals movies and live music scenes, sipping coffee, and (purely for the sake of cultural enlightenment) trying new kinds of beer.

Music/films festivals, either working with them as a volunteer, or just plain enjoyment as a casual festival goer.

Keeping on expanding my web of friends world wide.

I did go to university to study cinema, but dropped out quickly as I'm afraid I was more interested in watching movies than learning about them. As a result, I might not have a cinema education, but I'm definitely well educated when it comes to films !
