ABOUT ME

I'm an Engineering graduate from Toronto, Ontario, Canada who has been working for a consultancy for the past 3.5 years. I have been fortunate to do some travelling in the past, but it's time to step things up a notch. So, if you'll have me, I would like to get to know this world a little bit better, meet people from all over, and have fun while I'm at it.

PHILOSOPHY

I'm a Christian. That is, I believe in Jesus Christ as the Son of God and the Bible as the Word of God. So my chief desire in life to know God, enjoy Him, and make Him known to others.

We only have one life to live and so we need to make as big of a positive impact as possible while we have the strength, resources, and time to do so.

Even though life is amazing and something to be treasured, I believe that there are many places in the world that are places of pain and hurt with many needs to be met. This means going into the world and meeting the necessities of people in need. It can be discouraging when you try to help out and realize that the problems and scourges of this world are too large for any one human to conquer, but I will not let this discouragement dissuade me from trying to make a difference.

I enjoy discussing my faith with those who are curious as well as those who want to learn about it more.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I have minimal couchsurfing experience so this is my start. I anticipate doing some travelling and meeting people from all walks of life. Then, when I establish myself I will return the favour and open my home to those who visit this side of the world.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have not had the privilege of any couchsurfing experiences as of yet, but we need to start somewhere :)

Interests

Reading, running, working out, tennis, swimming, skiing, astronomy... I'm interested in almost anything, that is, I want to try most things in this world at least once* I'm quite flexible and open minded.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I had 2 opportunities to go to Guatemala and participate in short term missions work in neighbourhoods and regions in need. We built houses, organized food distributions, prepared and executed programming at a local school. It was an amazing experience and I will continue to pursue these types of endeavours in my lifetime.

Teach, Learn, Share

I knew this would be a tough one. The problem is, I dabble in many activities, so I'm a "jack of all trades" (but not really), but master of none. This may sound one sided, but I enjoy listening to the experiences of others, learn about them and their lives, and determine how I can apply those lessons learned to my own life.
