Hey! I'm Tom - I'm a media and music student who is just at the tail-end of a year-long university exchange in Canada. I live and breathe music, from making it, listening to it, talking about it to going to see it in the flesh. I have a keen interest in Canada and Japan and am always interested in learning more about a cultures tie to place.

As I get (older), I seem to be getting more politically, socially and environmentally conscious, which can't be a bad thing?

我为什么加入 Couchsurfing

I'm on Couchsurfing because I'm up for an adventure. On this next trip I'm packing light and sure don't want to end up with STUFF. I'm not very good at it (thanks, Mum), but I want to be more of a minimalist.

Already in my short experience Couchsurfing and travelling I've been continually blessed, and although I'm not in the position to now, I very much look forward to giving back to the CS community!

Music: anything played with soul and emotion [post, math, prog, experimental, ambient, bedroom, lofi, -wave, -gaze etc etc anything with a wanky title]
Movies: I'll watch pretty much anything, but I'm far from any sort of buff.
Books: I'm not much of a reader, but I've read a Tim Winton book or two.

Staying in Hakone, Japan and seeing Fuji was pretty cool - we were wondering when we it was going to appear and then all of the sudden the old man sitting next to us' face lit up.
