Tom:
I was born in Waalwijk (Netherlands) and I moved to Bellevaux (Malmedy, Belgium) when I was 5. I went to school there in Malmedy and studied in Maastricht (Netherlands) for a couple of years. In those years I met Céline, I stopped my studies and started working at my fathers brewery at the age of 21. In 2013 I bought our house in Malmedy and I live there with Céline and our dog Ulysse (and a cat, but he stays outside except in winter)

Céline:

I was born in Namur and lived in the belgian's Ardenne my whole life. I studied Communication in Liège and I met Tom in 2008. We've been together since then. I am currently working at the family brewery with him.

Tom and Céline:

Meet locals when I'm abroad, exchange experiences, learn about their culture , Bla Bla Bla... Or just enjoy a pint in good company, eat a meal together and maybe sleep in the couch/guestroom for a night.

Tom:

Music: I like music in general, but I really enjoy Creedence Clearwater Revival, 10CC, Supertramp, Johnny Cash, JJ cale, Toto, Feu! Chatterton, Bruce Springsteen, The Doors, and many others. Céline likes totally different styles like Adele, Florence and the machine, ...

Movies: I love westerns (Hollywood and spaghetti), cult movies like c'est arrivé près de chez vous, dikkenek, la classe Americaine, Big Lebowski, MP and the holy grail, Life of Brian, .... I really enjoy british comedy like Monty Python, Bottom, Father Ted, Fawlty Towers, The Young Ones, ...

Books: I'm more of a book guy, I really love fantasy: The Wheel of Time, LOTR, Acts of Caine, The name of the wind, The broken empire, The Witcher, The black company, Mistborn, The way of kings, ...

Céline:

Music: I love everything airing on the radio. Not so much someone with particuliar preferences, not a musician either.

Movies: I hate westerns (unlike Tom..Such a pity but i do watch them because I'm a girlfriend like that). But I do love dramas, forein movies (scandinavian movies for instance). Not so keen on blockbusters (except for Star wars that is).

Books: Like Tom I like reading fantasy but not at his level: Harry Potters and stuff are enough for me. I also do love historical books, Stephen King, Elizabeth Gilbert, Dan Brown, Albert Camus and I'm a huge fan of René Barjavel.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Tom: I don't really know, I've done many amazing things, they just may seems less amazing to others than to myself and vice versa

Céline: Heuuuu.... ? I saw a UFO once. Waiting to do amazing things in the future !

Teach, Learn, Share

Celine can cook (i'm mean SHE CAN COOK!!!), I can Brew and distill. I know a lot about beer. I could learn about whisky, wine, cognac, gin,...

What I Can Share with Hosts

A typical Belgian meal than Céline can prepare and maybe some homebrewed (or distilled) stuff that I made (if I have enough space to bring some with me). We can share lots of fun stories as well :)
