Oh, well hello there, i'm a 21 year old Law student from Nottingham in the UK. Currently studying in the Netherlands for an exchange year and using that as a thinly veiled excuse to meet new people experience new things and explore new places. I'm laid back, friendly and outgoing with a love of exploring. I'm interested in pretty much everything from science to ancient history, i just like to know things. I'm also a sucker for a great view, especially of the sea. I'm brand new to this whole concept so i'm still trying to work it all out so... be patient with me.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Until about three years ago i had never left the UK and i'm determined to make up what i've lost out on. I want to travel as widely as possible and meet great new people. Unfortunately student living means that i don't actually have a couch... or much of a home to speak of but i hope one day i would be able to host others in return.

Interests

I'm a big music fan, especially live. I mainly listen to indie and rock but also love jazz and blues, especially when live. I'm heavily involved in Student theatre back in the UK and love performance of any kind (except ballet... what's all that about?) and am something of a comedy nerd (especially UK comedy). I also love writing and have my own blog. After two years at University living off frozen pizza i'm trying to become a better cook and would love to pick up any local or family specialties! Oh and i've played guitar for like 7 year, i'm not Hendrix but i can carry a tune.

I'm that guy who's never seen any of your favorite movies. Shawshank redemption? Nope. Godfather? Nope. But i am also that guy who watches every TV series going and can happily talk about it endlessly.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

By far my best travel experience was watching the sun go down over the plains of Bavaria from a massive, mountaintop schloss, not a sound but a waterfall somewhere up in the hills behind me and the cow bells ringing out below. That one's going to stay with me for a while. I also did 'travel cliche 101' and played football with some local kids on top of a mountain. It was 10-6, because you should never be afraid to crush the dreams of a group of 8 year olds.

Teach, Learn, Share

I know a little bit about a lot of things and am always trying to learn more. Happy to chat about everything from politics to geology. I also know a little bit about the law, what with it being my degree and all (n.b. No i will not represent you in court if i stay). I'm also pretty nifty at building theatre sets so if you wanted one... for some reason... you don't do you?
