About Me

I grew up on the East coast of Australia, a nice surf side lifestyle. I then decided to make the move across the pond to New Zealand where I have lived for the past year.

I publish an agricultural investment newsletter that I hope will eventually give me an income that isn't tied to a job, enabling me to travel and live where ever I please.

I live with my partner and we're both planning on moving to Latin America at the start of 2016.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm looking to meet people from different cultures and make friends around the world. I spent a little time at university and the vast majority of my friends were international students, so I have an affinity for meeting people from different cultures.

I'm particularly interested in meeting people from Latin America as I'll be travelling there early next year.

Interests

I have a great interest in Voluntarism, the notion that all interactions within society should be voluntary, free from force and coercion (including interactions with government). This ties into my interest in Philosophy, which subsequently ties into my interest in Economics. Quite a labyrinth of thought! To simplify and put me in a box, I would be known as a Libertarian.

In my spare time I like to read and conduct investment research. I'm part of an online community called liberty.me where people write articles about living a life of greater freedom.

Music, Movies, and Books

I enjoy any literature on the free market, Austrian economics, morality, history and philosophy. I like music with culture behind it. Anything with a harp in it is mesmerizing.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I moved to New Zealand with nothing but a bag on my back. I then road tripped around till I found a nice little town to stay for a while!

What I Can Share with Hosts

We have spare bedroom with a double bed. I can also take you for a drive around the area for you to see the sights of Invercargill!
