ABOUT ME

My name is Tom, born and raised in the terribly boring suburb of Manchester striving for more from myself and this journey we call life. My wife (Amy) and I teach English online to students in Beijing and have the wonderful opportunity to travel for the next 5 months before I begin a Masters course in Psychotherapy (ooo sounds weird ey?) in October 2019.

We sit and discuss big questions, future, politics, religion, business ideas (that will never materialise) mixed with a good laugh, willingness to learn and desire to build relationships with new people.

PHILOSOPHY

Be willing to learn.

A willingness to change, unfortunately a wavering capacity to do so. I love the quote "Change happens when the pain of staying the same is greater than the pain of making the change." I am a Malcolm Gladwell reader. Mainly because I would like to read more but find it difficult to. Incomes Gladwell for an easy read, gripping, non-fiction mind blower!

Interested in sports - I love to play and watch ( football, table-tennis, tennis)

People, friends and family are my church - but I'm also interested in church.

Throughout the next 5 months, I aim to travel Iceland, Canada and a toss up between South America and China.

Very chilled, not quite the get up and out kind of people. Educate us locals.
