ABOUT ME

We are a young family living in Longford, a small rural town near Launceston. Cath is a full time mum, Tom works in Launceston as an arborist. We have three young kids.

We have a food garden in the back yard.

There is a loft space in our home with queen, cot and single beds available for guests. Otherwise, pitch a tent or roll out a swag in the yard, the star gazing in Longford is fabulous.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

We are yet to 'surf' ourselves, but have enjoyed hosting.

Probably our most memorable CS night was when a van load of Taiwanese travellers pull up in our drive. We had been expecting 3 couch surfers, but invited the 4 others to stay too as the local caravan park was full.

We had another friend staying that night, and were living in a two bedroom unit at the time, so it was cosy with ten of us using the bathroom the next morning. But our guests were incredibly thoughtful, they taught us how to play Mahjong and sent lovely gifts from Taiwan.
