À propos de moi

CURRENT MISSION

To connect, create, experience and explore. After too many years of limited travel, I hope to reconnect with my sense of adventure, explore a new country, improve my Spanish, and hike / climb to high places.

PHILOSOPHY
I would describe my self as a secular humanist, spiritual agnostic, moderate liberal, and intellectual who leans towards rational perspectives, but stays open to new experiences and connections with people from all walks of life. I am often motivated by the desire to experience or create something new, as well as a desire to learn and understand the experience and perspectives of others. My ethical values include always remaining patient, peaceful, and respectful in how I deal with others.

Pourquoi je suis sur Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I first did some hosting long ago when living in Asheville, NC, and a bit more when I moved back to New Orleans. I've been inactive on CS for a long time, but hope to get back into it. I've had all good experience as a CS guest on various road trips in the U.S.

Centres d'intérêt

Interested in psychology / social sciences, philosophy, animals / nature, outdoor adventure sports, running / fitness, travel.
Music is my main hobby. I practice daily and perform every few weeks. My instruments include drum set, Indian tabla, keyboard, flute, and handpan. My wide musical tastes include a lot of Indian and non-western world music, in addition to progressive jazz, classic rock, and music of my home city New Orleans.

I was also an English/Journalism major in college, and now have a master's degree in mental health counseling which is my main profession.
