Hey all! I grew up in the suburbs of New York City, living briefly in Izmir, Turkey. I moved to Iowa for college and bounced around between the Midwest and East Coast for several years. I am currently staying in Asheville, NC, working as a tour guide at a major attraction in the area.

I'm interested in a capella and choral singing, community theater, and gaming of all sorts. I lived in an intentional community for a while, and would love to do it again sometime!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm interested in meeting interesting new people and helping to facilitate low-cost travel. I've hosted some great people before and really enjoyed meeting them! I also hope to use Couchsurfing to make new friends and find affordable lodging on my own trips away from home.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I traveled to China for two weeks in 2010 with a mixed barbershop/Chinese-American chorus to compete in a Chinese-language music competition. We performed in the National Centre for the Performing Arts ("The Giant Egg") during the competition and sang a lot of spontaneous barbershop songs in public around Beijing and Xi'an.
