ABOUT ME

Hey! I'm Tom, 20 years old from Sussex, UK. I decided against the university route as I'm not sure which direction I want to take in life, so I took the opportunity of an English teaching job in China. I was in the Sichuan province in the west of the country, known for spicy food and beautiful girls- both were correct!

I am now living in Berlin, volunteering in a family home a couple of hours a day in exchange for somewhere to sleep and some food, so I have a bunch of free time to explore and meet lots of Berliners!

Influenced by my 2 creative best friends, I have a passion for photography and adventuring in the outdoors. I love heading out taking photos and picturesque locations and sharing stories from my photography.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Got a flight to the top of Scotland and cycled back to my home in the south of the UK, hiking up the 3 tallest mountains in the country as I reached them. A fantastic physical and mental challenge for me, and definitely developed my social skills as I stayed with many awesome people around the country through the Warmshowers community. I couldn't have wished for a better trip with respect to experiencing my own country; witnessing the brilliant scenery it had to offer as well as meeting the modest, kind warm hearted people that filled it.
