About Me

It's been a while that i haven't take the time to update a little bit what was written here.
I have to admit that since the begining of this pandemic, the number of eCSperiences that i've the chance to live reduced a lot. Still, this year i had again the chance to meet lots of wonderful new couchsurfers that i do feel privileged to have crossed their paths.
But I have to say that i'm strongly convinced that 2024 will be a wonderful year

In november 2018, my life fully changed and took me to live in south of France.
It gave me the chance to strongly discover a country close to my little Belgium (where i'm from) and i got surprised how this place can be so different and varied in terms of cities, natural places, landscapes etc.
Today i'm living in Marseille and moving there has been one of the greatest decisions that i've taken in my life.

Concerning couchsurfing, this website has been an incredible story for me so far. A story made and wrote by so many great persons that I have met across the world since october 2010 when i discoverd CS in Vancouver.
I’ll never thank enough all the persons who have worked to launch and run this website.
I don’t know them and will probably never have the chance to meet them but they truly changed my life....

Now, to turn on about this section called “ About Me”, I would say that my approach in life is always to try to look after the positive side of any situations. I find myself quite lucky being able to do that because at the end almost every time i can find inside of me a minimum of happiness !
Even during the worst and most challenging times , i try to turn them in something positive.

" He said one day I'll leave this world behind, so live a life you'll remember "

PHILOSOPHY ?

" Dreams don't work, unless you do "

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

As written above, I've lived so many different eCSperiences, ( both in space and time ) and some of them will stand in my mind absolutely forever ...
Since 2010, the year i opened my profile in Canada, i've met so many incredible persons. I fell in love with this website and i really wanna keep this eCSperience alive.
No matter where i live or stay , as long as i owe a piece of a floor i'll be truly happy to share it with you !
Future ( or former) guests, you're all welcome =) !

Interests

So many of course !
But i wont write here that "i love to travel and meet new people"
I do feel like that i've read way to much those interests on this website.

Like (almost) everyone here, i do have many interests ; from the badminton (probably the sport that i like the most) to the political situation in Belgium which can be as complicated as fascinating.
But I think that the best way in order to discover our mutual interests is simply to meet up =)

Music, Movies, and Books

Being honest, i'm what we could called a "big zero" in terms of films and cinema. The reason is mostly the fact that i watch something like two films.. per year !
I can't explain why but i constantly have the feeling that i have something more important, more interesting, more exciting ... than watching a film.
But in the same time, when i finally sit in front of screen watching one, i always feel super happy and tell to myself that i should consider watching much more films per year...

About music it's different ;
It's difficult for me to pick one kind of music that i strongly like or hate. It's more about the song or the singer.
From the rap to the traditional Irish music calling by the classical music, i can really enjoy so many different things.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Three years ago in july 2020 i walked and completed the whole path "GR20" in Corsica within 9 days.
A life experience. So difficult... I've never been so deep ( on a mentaly and physicaly approach) than during this absolutely crazy journey. Everything was crazy in Corsica from the landscape surronding us to the person and hikers that we met during this odyssey.

An other example was to complete my very first marathon in the streets of Marseille back in March 2015.
An amazing life adventure that i'll remember for the rest of my life ( my legs, feet, heart, eyes too)
From that afternoon in 2014 when i told myself that i would try to run within one year a distance of 42,195km to this moment when i finally crossed the finish line in the " Vieux Port" of Marseille after a run of 3h23min, i found out that everything in this story was crazy.
Trust me, everything !

One amazing thing that i have seen ?
I would say a screen located at Paris CDG ( International Paris airport) in the terminal 2E.
On this screen was written " New York JFK"
It was in August 2007, i was 17. and i wanted to celebrate the end of the secondary school. I decided to realise one of my greatest dreams ever ; going to New York!
I worked during one month in a supermarket , saved money and finally book my flight to New York.
It has been one of the most incredible and amazing journey that i have made so far.
More than a journey, it was a lifetime expérience.

Few years before, i was 15 years old and i decided with two friends to go to Ireland ( for the first time) and backpacking over the country for only 4 days.
It was short but also among one of my greatest souvenirs on the road.
Ireland took a really special place in my heart since that irish journey.

Not only travels and journeys made me realised that the world was something incredible ;
For instance, i'll never forget my first day at the university.
It was something absolutely tremendous

Also, my final Trumpet exam at the conservatory. It was the end of a life chapter ten years long...

...

Teach, Learn, Share

This is a tricky question !
For the moment, i feel like i'm more in the learning process of my life than the teaching one.
But of course, if i can help you for something ( hit a shuttle with a badminton racket) i'll be super happy to!

Last but not least, in terms of sharing, i would say my smile may be " =D " and my happiness.
Lucky me, both are following me days after days, years after years wherever i go !
