About Me

CURRENT MISSION

to revel in my rootless-ness for as long as possible

ABOUT ME

Interests: sparse, interesting, evocative and honest things. Long walks on the beach. Puppies. Poetry.

I was the social action coordinator of the NH and VT district for a youth empowerment organization for the 2009-2010 year. 6 years of my life have been dedicated to this community, and I love them all very much. They comprise almost all of my soul.

I'm very bad at describing myself in these things, and really it's just an abstract/crafted representation. I can say whatever I want here, but it won't be completely true. We should just hang out.

PHILOSOPHY

We are in charge of ourselves. Nothing else is above our ability to think.
I believe in logic and that, for the most part tact is subordinate to truth. There's a time and a place for everything, though.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Dinners and events, I am open to hosting whoever/whatever.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Slept on the couch in a trailer that's placed under a tree in front of a farm in Svendborg, Denmark.

I've been hosted by a lot of different, lovely people in Copenhagen and I've attended a CS dinner or two.

Minimal hosting experience... but I'd like more.

Interests

Any sort of creative process. I really love the written word. Spoken word, too. I do a lot of writing and performing of poetry. My favorite poet? H.D. or Tao Lin. I'll bashfully tell you I like Billy Collins too.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

My time in Iceland was like being in another world.

Teach, Learn, Share

I love to cook and explore food. I'd be more than happy to make a meal for you, or make a meal WITH you.

I also love playing music and singing, although I'm a bit shy about it. And I'll talk about anything with you.
