My name is Tomás. I was born in Colombia. I moved to Germany 2 years ago and now I’m moving to Sweden to Study at Lund University. I went to High School in the US and there I was the Photohraphy director of the school newspaper. That’s why after graduating I wanted to go study photojournalism in Hannover, Germany but I ended up choosing Lund. I will start in September my Bachelor in Development Studies.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I love the idea of having a community of shared cultures and ideas.. and couches. I think it’s an example to the world that we all need to learn from.

Interests

I love cooking but I especially like making things from scratch, like brewing my own kombucha or making marmalade or cheese. I also really like dancing, especially Salsa.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

In Germany I worked for a year in an organic milk farm . As an intern I learned a lot about the entire process of farming, but I fell in love with the art of cheesemaking. It’s something that will stay with me forever. I make my own cheese and yogurt at home.
