Meeting instead of hosting? Jyväskylä is a transit and underrated city. If you just pass through JKL and want to streach legs and eat/drink something (or you are just a short time in JKL and want to spend nice time), I invite you for a 1-2h walk in our beautiful harbour. Let's drink a cofee in my favourite harbour restaurant with lake view 'Sataman Viilu'. Let me know by CS message.

I accept (or decline) your request quickly, just to make you feel comfortable and relaxed that you have a place to stay, but start conversations and send details some hours or days before your arrival. Be proactive if you want from me details, information or help earlier, quicker.

Probably I will be mostly at work during your stay as I WORK mostly IN THE EVENINGS so I rely on your INDEPENDENCE. Probably I will give you a home KEY. Probably I will pick you by car from train/bus station to make things easier first day. If you hitchhike I can take you to good spots after your visit.

I am flexible with my calendar (=your arrival time) as many of my guests use hitchhiking and bikes. Besides, weather conditions and CSguests' plans may change, etc. You may meet OTHER COUCHSURFERS at the same time. It is rare lately. Usually after covid pandemia and introducing payments, CS is almost dead in JKL. Surfers also visit me often and share adventures during return trips from Lapland, Nordcapp, Norway, Santa Claus etc.
Sometimes I forget to send details ;)
Firsts who come (ladies or who stays longer, just ask in advance) get separate room. Last ones: a sofa or matterasses in the living room. I sleep in living room when I have guests, but when crowded, in a kitchen part.
Some guests come at night and make noise for a while so be understanding, please. The more people, the bigger chaos in apartment, but more fun :D

VERY IMPORTANT AS WELL:
I am more helpful and willing for activities together during days when I don't have any work.
If you really want to be my guest and go togerher to national park by my car or sleep in a public, free of charge cottage somewhere in the forest, ask me in advance when I have free weekend or weekdays to go outdoors for one day or more.
I sometimes help my friends as a petsitter (2 CATS). So I may have PETS at home during your stay and probably there are some traces of fur, as well.

VERY IMPORTANT KEY WORDS:
I live in a 2 room APARTMENT on 3rd floor with a nice view. It's situated close to at least 7 LAKES (distances from my appartment in stright lines: Vuorilampi 406 m, Mustalampi 389 m, Kolmisoppinen 1017m, Myllyjärvi 1049m, Soidenlampi 1822m, Päijänne 2054 m, Jyväsjärvi 2477m).All around there are FOREST PATHS (also to the lakes). There is SAUNA in the apartment ready for heat up. Sometimes BIKES, KAYAK and a CAR in use. As local buses do not go often to NATIONAL PARKS, UNESCO spots, wildness COTTAGES, etc.; so sometimes I take my guests to the places I and/or they want to visit.

Just to discourage you from sending me request:

I have ADHD mix type (hyperactive person with some focusing problems like forgetting answering mails, forgeting what I want to say etc ;) Maybe ADHD is contegous...

You risk being kick out from apartment if you say ADHD is a disease or it does not exist or it is just a fashion ;) Moreover, my humble opinion is that EVERYONE who like using CS should receive diagnosis of ADHD hyperactive type ;D

I am also people pleaser, meanwhile learning and getting better in not to be one. It is good for you, as I try to be flexible and take your wishes and needs into account. I am only satisfied, when my guests are satisfied and especially when they come second time on way back or next years :D Save us time and tell me what you want to visit in Jkl or surroundings.

Warning! My good jokes are very rare. Max. 10% of all jokes I say are funny. I know that my jokes are terrible so you do not have to pretend to laugh. No pressure, but I will appreciate your fake laughter. Bad message is that I keep on trying to say jokes (with poker face usually). Some people are very confused am I serious but just not very smart or am I just joking. Let's agree that I just have weird sense of humour ;D

I work with adults and the elderly, often with palliative patients and face death of my patients regularly. They taught me to enjoy small things, look on brighter part of life, and forget about problems, forget about...everything (dementia rules ;). I noticed that after some time I only remember people's smile and laughter. To remember you, I have to make you smile or even laugh.
