About Me

Hi Everyone! I'm Tomas from Chile. I'm 30 years old and I've been living in Melbourne for 2 years. I came to Australia to do a master's degree in water resources management.

My primary goal is to travel and explore every corner of the world. Unfortunately, the current situation has forced me to change my plans, which is why I decided to stay longer in Australia and to enjoy this amazing country.

I like talking and meeting people from different cultures and I consider myself an open-minded and easy-going guy who likes to talk and learn new things. I think you can learn something every day, so I'm always willing to have new experiences.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I started using Couchsurfing when I was living in Germany back in 2014. Thanks to this application I was able to connect with amazing people from different cultures and backgrounds who made each of my trips a unique experience. Back in Chile, I was able to host and continue contributing to the community.

I've always had multiple hobbies although I'm not quite consistent. Within the things I like the most I would highlight;
- Music (I play bass guitar)
- Astronomy (A recent hobby that helped to overcome the prolonged lockdown in 2020)
- Tennis
- Photography
- Nature

The visit to the "Torres del Paine", a mystical place located in southern Chile. It's just nature at its finest!

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach you about the Chilean culture (music, language, food, and more!) or share any knowledge I have of my interests. I also like talking about multiple topics. I'm always willing to have good conversations and share interesting/funny stories.
