Hi everyone! I'm Tomás from Chile, currently traveling around Asia. I love meeting new people, learning about different cultures, and sharing good conversations. I truly believe Couchsurfing is one of the best ways to connect with locals and travelers from all over the world.

I’d say I’m an open-minded and easy-going guy who likes to learn new things and see life with a sense of humor. I try to keep things simple and positive. I’m also quite curious as I love diving into new topics or exploring ideas that spark my interest.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I started using Couchsurfing when I was living in Germany back in 2014. Thanks to CS, I connected with amazing people who made each of my trips a unique experience. When I returned to Chile, I had the chance to host travelers and keep giving back to the community

Interests

I’ve always had many hobbies, even if I’m not always consistent. Among the things I enjoy most are music, astronomy, tennis, history, geography, science, and traveling.

Music, Movies, and Books

When it comes to music, I’m a big fan of classic and hard rock, as well as old heavy metal. I used to play in a heavy metal band, mostly covering songs from Iron Maiden, Judas Priest, Deep Purple, Black Sabbath, Pink Floyd, and more. I also enjoy reading, and lately I’ve been diving into scientific books, especially those by Carl Sagan.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

One of my favorite travel experiences was visiting Torres del Paine, a truly mystical place in southern Chile. It’s just nature at its finest!

I can share insights about Chilean culture, from music and language to food and more, and I’m happy to talk about any of my hobbies or passions. I also enjoy discussing a wide range of topics, and I’m always up for good conversations, interesting stories, or a few laughs.
