About Me

ABOUT ME

I am a student of master's degree European Business and Finance. Before I got bachelor degree in Regional development. Both programmes I studied in English so my English is quite good! Well, vocabulary for sure, speaking as well but in grammar its different story. Missing articles, in third person s, confusing was/were and much more :D

After school I am involved in Toastmasters club, place where I am practising public speaking and presentation skills. I am a member and also as a officer I take care of membership. It means welcoming guests, providing information about meeting roles and benefits.

During my studies I was in Erasmus exchange in Finland and later on I used opportunities from Youth in Action programme. I attend youth exchanges and training courses. Thanks to this short projects I was able to visit few more countries and meet people from even more countries :)

My motto:
"The world is a book and those who do not travel read only one page"
...I even put it to my CV when I applied for Erasmus exchange studies :D

My personality is quite complicated. When I do things I love I am perfectionist. Think I don't like to do I am lazy and procrastinating to hell for example with TV series. I like to learn from stories from other people and their experience better than sit at school!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Because I can cook for somebody! Seriously is great relax and you are not hungry :D

While surfing reasons are well known in couchsurfing, get insight how people live in other countries, understand culture, meet in people and get know their values and opinions, visit places locals visit and as a student travel on small budget than hotels/hostels.

Interests

I am member of international student club at my university, where we take care of incoming exchange students and create events for them. My role is mostly a photographer so shooting events or parties.

Capturing a moment, freezing an action and selecting just best pics and making happy other people that is what I like about photography.

Taking pictures while travelling is my passion! At home somehow I don't have so much inspiration so my camera is mostly on the shelf :D

From sports I try to go to gym twice a week and lift some weights. Otherwise I like swimming, in childhood I played tennis but now prefer badminton. In winter I love snowboard. Via snowboard I somehow end up longboarding too, and wakeboarding few times in summer. Just missing the surfing, so maybe one day I will try it!

Music, Movies, and Books

MOVIES: Whiplash, Beautiful Mind, Selma, Gone Girl, Groundhog day, Divergent, Insergent - waiting for this one...

SERIES: I like the British TV series like Misfits, Skins + Lost, Prison Break, Dexter, Californication

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Was snowboarding with friend, went for small freeride hoping to find a shortcut, in the end we found different way. Leading to nowhere, got lost :O Instead of coming back home in the afternoon we have been walking in deep snow many hours, carrying our heavy snowboards :D Tired, almost losing hope, luckily we found our way to civilization in 23h in the evening :)

Another experience is quite opposite, from cold to hot... We had amazing time in Erasmus behind polar circle in Finnish sauna with classmates drinking beer, afterwards jumping to a lake.

Teach, Learn, Share

Would like to visit someday: Kuba, New Zeland, Korea

I love to cut a grass, really! Do you have a small garden and is too busy? I am happy to do it. Like the manual work when the outcome is visible :)
