About Me
ABOUT ME
I’m a curious, positive and open-minded traveler from Bled, Slovenia – a town often called “the Alpine paradise on Earth.” By nature, I’m social, adaptable, and always eager to learn about the world around me. I love humor (even when it’s at my own expense) and believe that life’s best moments often come from unexpected connections.
I’m a proud husband and father of two amazing children, Diana and Erasmus. Parenthood has taught me that control is an illusion and that every day brings new surprises.
Traveling has been a passion of mine since I was 16, when I took my first big trip hitchhiking across the Balkans with my now-wife. Since then, I’ve visited 26 countries, including a year-long honeymoon adventure in India. Whether I’m exploring by backpack, bike, camper van, or even dreaming of rollerblading around the world, I enjoy every moment of the journey.
When I’m not traveling, I’m often windsurfing, cycling, or working on my hobbies – from woodworking and fixing things to experimenting in the kitchen. I also have a passion for photography, capturing the beauty of nature and the unique stories of the people I meet.
As a tour guide in Slovenia, I love sharing hidden gems and stories from my homeland. For me, life is all about connection, exploration, and enjoying the ride.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I’m on Couchsurfing because I believe traveling is not just about places but about people. Meeting locals and sharing experiences makes every journey richer and more meaningful. I love learning about different cultures, habits, and perspectives – it’s the best way to grow and understand the world around us.
Couchsurfing offers a unique way to connect with others, exchange stories, and build friendships across borders. For me, it’s not just about finding a place to stay but about creating genuine connections and sharing a bit of humor, adventure, and kindness along the way. I also enjoy spreading kindness and positive energy to those around me, whether it's through a smile, a helpful gesture, or simply a good conversation.
Interests
I’m passionate about exploring the world in various ways – from cycling and vanlife to traveling by motorcycle and local transport. Cycling allows me to connect with nature and discover hidden corners, while vanlife offers complete freedom and adventure on the road. Traveling by motorcycle lets me enjoy fast and unforgettable journeys, with each turn bringing a new experience and story. I also love traveling by local transport, as it allows me to truly experience places and meet their people.
In addition, I’m an enthusiast of adrenaline sports like windsurfing, skiing, snowboarding, and ice hockey. I also enjoy listening to music, singing, and playing the drums – music is a big part of my life and helps me express my creativity. In my free time, I enjoy woodworking, fixing things, and photography – always seeking new ways to create and explore.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
One of the most amazing things I’ve done was traveling through India before my wedding. I started by hitchhiking and using public transport, and after that, my beloved and I got married in India. Following the ceremony, we kicked off our honeymoon trip, spending the next nine months exploring the country on a Royal Enfield, an iconic Indian motorcycle. It was an unforgettable adventure, including traveling across some of the highest roads in the world. It pushed us to our limits and taught us so much about ourselves and the world around us. Despite all the challenges, we managed to navigate India’s vibrant chaos and beauty without getting lost… in each other or the journey!
