ABOUT ME

Grew up in Buffalo NY and then moved to Winter Park Colorado to do the ski bum thing for a season. 15 years later- its been a long season! Use to manage a snowboard shop for years, have built houses as a carpenter, then got bored of building em so then I started selling em, then got bored of selling em and started painting em, and then got bored of houses so I sold mine, started renting a place as a home base, buying a sprinter van and gonna start traveling the world starting with the west coast. All the while playing and still currently playing a ton of music as a freelance bass/guitar player check it out at www.myspace.com/tomcamillorocks . Have had the opportunity to play with all kinds of incredible musicians rocking large theaters, outdoor amphitheaters, concert halls, clubs, big bars, small bars, tiny bars, campfires and living rooms!

PHILOSOPHY

We are all one, yet we are on our own journeys. Sometimes our paths cross and we walk side by side for awhile, sometimes our paths cross briefly. Either way we will learn from each other and carry that with us as we continue forward.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Always have a couch available in the Winter Park/ Fraser area and could probably get you set up with a couch even if I'm not in town. This little ski town community has been great, with all kinds of incredibly friendly and giving people. Even if I am not around I can hook you up with all kinds of fun people! Hope to do some traveling myself this winter to follow the sun after living in the snow for a long time.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Have traveled all over the US playing with various bands (funk, jazz, rock, reggae, or whatever they paid me to play), and also traveled for years chasing snow to snowboard. Always found great friends on the road who opened their arms and homes to me and I have had the opportunity to do the same for many of them so I see it as a two way street. Love to meet new people to share stories and experiences. I am very open to all kinds of outlooks on life and am very courteous and thankful when someone opens their homes and hearts to me.

Don't really watch the tele. Much rather spend time playing, seeing, or listening to music of all kinds. Really like anything funky/rocking/jazzy/dub/reggae/jam/punk/electro/afro/latin/thumpin/bumpin/stumblin/bumblin/tumblin...Also like reading books of enlightenment, and just started learning spanish for a future trip to South America.

Did a 12 mile full moon hike to watch the sunrise/full moon set on top of Perry Peak (13,491 ft) while looking over the city of Denver to the east and the Towns of Winter Park and Fraser to the west. Made ya feel like you helped create the day!

I feel I am on this earth to help encourage others to live life to the fullest. I am truly caring and always seem to show up right when someone needs me. I am a good guitar/bass teacher, an ok cook, very handy with just about anything, and a hard worker.
