Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

None yet with the couchsurfing website.
My parents used to host people when I was a kid, mostly Italian and Spanish students, and it was a really good experience for me, as a curious child to be constantly meeting people from the big wide world outside Wales.
I've done a lot of travelling in my life and I intend to do a whole lot more.
It would be nice to host people soon too.

Interests

I love being outside, growing food, creative stuff, dancing, imagination, jokes, radical politics and tea.
I play the banjo and the guitar - bluegrass, folk, klezmer, ska...
I read widely. I would like to know more about most things.
I like travelling and learning languages. I trained as an english teacher so that even when I stay still, the world still comes to me.

Books : lots. Recently...books about the Spanish civil war, banjo books, tons of Cormac McCarthy, Will Self, William Burroughs when I haven't already got a headache,

I have helped people learn english and to grow their own food.
I am no expert on music, but I am keen and I am happy to jam with anyone and share what I know.
I am learning capoeira. It is hard!
