ABOUT ME

Hi! My name is Tomasz, but call me Tomek if you like or Thomas if it's easier for you. I am soon to be 29 and I live in Gdańsk, northern Poland.

I have finished studying Biomathematics at Gdańsk University of Technology last year and I am currently pursuing my career as a software developer in the banking sector.

I like playing chess, I really am into music - not only listening, but also playing guitar. Besides that, my hobbies include: football and medieval and WW2 history.

And I drink craft beer. A lot. I like to try every single taste of beer from throughout the world.

PHILOSOPHY

Life is too short. Make it as interesting as possible. Don't hesitate, do what you want. Have fun. That's it.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Surfing: I enjoy meeting people born and raised in different cultures around the world. I do not really mind the conditions as I am more interested in your way of life. I'm good as long as there is a roof above my head.

Hosting: I am able to host maximum two people a night. The hours of your stay are quite fluent. You may be asked to leave the flat as I leave it to go to work if I have to (which is usually around 8 AM). I do have the chance to work from home two times a week - in this case hours don't matter at all. :)

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Well, I had only surfed a few times right now, but haven't had a chance to host anybody. Had a great time nonetheless! I find CS a great way to making friends all around the world.

音乐、电影和书籍

I grew up listening to hardcore punk music. As i became a little older, I have found my love for the sound of folk. But it's not all, obviously. As trivial as that sounds, my musical taste is quite wide.

When it comes to books, I mostly read fantasy, mostly of Polish or Russian writers. I am really into post-apocaliptic books. I also like to read autobiographies of WW2 soldiers. I grab something else from time to time, but those two above are my favourite genres.

And movies are just not my thing. I have a few personal favourites, but those are casual classics everyone loves. Nothing special about that.

我做过的一件不可思议的事情

Attempted several hitch-hiking trips around Europe, two of them failed miserably after few days because of bad weather. The third one succeded, though. :)
