About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Planning to travel next summer.

ABOUT ME

I'm a quite curious girl, who always dreamed of seeing the world. So far I have had time to travel to some places, but I've seen far from everything that I would like to see in my life. I've always been interested in distant countries, foreign cultures and different languages. Several times when I was younger, I thought about going somewhere else, backpacking or even to move from Sweden, or maybe study abroad, but there were always things in the way of my wanderlust.

I consider myself to have an open mind, but just like everyone elses mind, it can be extended further. I consider one of the best ways to do that, is to spend time with people from other places in the world, people who grew up during other circumstances than myself, or simply people with different views and experiences than I have. Every person has a story to tell.

I'm very outgoing and social and so I love to meet new people. I often find it difficult to sit still and do nothing and I get very excited when I take on new adventures. Nevertheless, I like the adrenalin rush just as much as I appreciate to relax on a beach.

I'm a bit of everything.
But ain't we all?

PHILOSOPHY

No regrets.

Appreciate every day - even the bad ones.

Be honest.

Look at yourself to understand, after that you can turn your eyes to other peoples flaws. No one is a saint.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I host when I have a extra place to sleep, and while I'm not travelling myself. And I am planning to start surfing during my next trip.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I had my first surfing experience in Rhodos this june, but more so I have had a lot of hosting experience. I am now looking forward to getting in touch with even more people around the world and hopefully plan a bigger trip soon.

I would like to validate my adress, and will do so as soon as possible, but since I am about to both travel and move in the nearest future I don't see the point to do that at the moment.

Interests

I always try to find new experiences that give me the opportunity to learn something new. In addition I always like to: dance, ski, snorkel, read, travel, learn about other cultures, foreign languages, music, writing, reading, partying, cooking and so much more :)

I am a person that likes projects, I start and I finish them and for a short while at a time, I'm completely absorbed by my project. My last projects were: learning more about Astrology, Photography, Create a family tree and looking for ancestors...

I never know what my next project will be, but I almost always find them to be about learning something that I don't have to master, but I want to know enough about it to be able to carry on a conversation on the subject...

I don't know everything about something, but most of the time I know something about most things.

I like the adrenaline rush, but also to chill out.
Contradictory, I know.

(Astrology: I find astrology very interesting but I hate horoscopes. I don't believe in horoscopes at all, even though I am what I would call a typical leo. Since this little projects started I have learned a lot about the different parts of astrology, about the planets and houses and so on. Recently I also learned that I have a lot of planets in Leo, but also in Aries and Saggitarious - three fire signs = Energy. To me it is fascinating when you realize how much of what is said in the chart, matches your personality.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

This was some years ago, but it was just wonderful when I was snorkeling in the Dominican Republic. Swam out less than 30 meters from the sandy beach and loved to find myself among all the beautiful fish in amazing colors. The whole trip to the Caribbean was fantastic and I remember with warmth the whole experience. The tropical rain in the afternoons and how fresh everything felt afterwards, the smell in the air after the rain and the high humidity. Even a simple thing as when we sat under a palmtree, looking out over the sea on the last afternoon and the rain came. Large raindrops tumbled into the sea so that the water bounced back, it was beautiful and powerful. A trip I will never forget - amazing.

Teach, Learn, Share

We learn everyday - life is itself an adventure.
I am always willing to learn new things and share my own knowledge and experiance.

I know how to make sushi. But I generally just love to cook.
I can give you some dance lessons if you feel you could need it :P
I studied eight languages through my school years (although my skills are not what they used to be haha)

Countries I’ve Visited

Cyprus, Denmark, Dominican Republic, Germany, Greece, Italy, Norway, Turkey, United Kingdom
