About Me

It's always funny to write about yourself, isn't it? How to present yourself in a short, concise, (possibly) interesting :D and honest way?
Well, it's easy to say what I do :) I am a PhD researcher in the field of rehabilitation robotics, where I found myself as it combines two 'things' I really like and strive doing - mechanical engineering and helping people in need. And this actually says a lot about me. As an (mechanical) engineer, I am very practical, persistent, open-minded and perfectionist (this is not to say these are the qualities of [only] mechanical engineers :)), always trying to see broader picture and understand different sides and aspects to a problem.
I am also easy going, relaxed, funny (they say :D) and friendly, but also serious, cautious, responsible and pragmatic [only :D] when necessary ;)
The rest? Well, we have to leave something for live encounter, no? ;)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I like meeting new people and exchange experiences, stories, thoughts... I never liked hotels etc, but was always choosing to stay with locals as this was/is great opportunity to really get to know the place and different life stories. There are simply amazing life stories out there, and great lessons one can learn and exchange, so why not going for it?
At this moment, I cannot host any couch surfers, but this should change soon. When it does, I would be more than happy to do so. For now, I want to try being hosted as a couch surfer, an experience I had not yet had, but am very looking forward to.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I did not conquer Himalaya nor visited moon nor dived on whale's back, but such things are not what makes life amazing. Amazing things about life are not those grandeur that take place and then disappear. Amazing things about life are those simple ones we experience on a daily basis and that teach us life, that make us who we are and how we act in this life.
Having that in mind, I'd rather not go into all the amazing things I've done ;)
