Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I travel quite a bit and would like to meet locals that know the area and can suggest locales to me. In my travels a lot of recommendations come from LonelyPlanet, Yelp, and TripAdvisor. While these resources are helpful, I feel staying with a local can lead to more opportunities. As a student, the cost of lodging can be overwhelming so staying with others cuts the cost. I would like to render the same service people offer me.
