ABOUT ME

I've caught a chronic dose of the travel bug in the past few years, it makes attempting to settle into a "normal life" in Melbourne borderline impossible. I've made a pledge to work for 12months in a row this time around but 6months in I'm starting to get itchy feet again...
I've been attempting to stay sane by doing small trips to visit friends around various parts of the country, continuing to drink like i am traveling (weekends only now...unless there's something really good on) and trying to fill my house with couch surfers and generally trying to pretend I'm not really stuck at home!

I've hosted a few surfers over the years, managed to surf a little in Europe and now I'm back in Melbourne I'll host when I can!

Hosted Harry for a few nights when I was living in Vail.

Meeting new people, making new friends, learning, getting to see as much as I can of the world, getting to see the places off the beaten trail, skiing, drinking, hiking, working to travel.

Love a good book, especially biographies and history. Music tastes are pretty varied, it all depends on what i'm doing, where i am and how i'm feeling!
Movies....a bit of everything, when I'm hungover I can sit down and watch hours of Disney movies, that's generally all my brain can handle at times like that! Normally anything goes, light action, occasionally horror, and always in the mood for a comedy!

over the past few months of traveling, i've become an expert at unpacking and repacking my backpack, and throwing out all the unnecessaries that weigh you down! my best accomplishment to date is my 11kg backpack for 4months of traveling Europe, I'm happy to share the magic of rolling everything, the art of pulling off the same outfit every 5days and the pleasure of watching your travel buddies struggle under the weight of their monumental sized packs!
