About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Getting to know my hometown again after 13 years - Darwin life!
ABOUT ME
I have a two year old son, and for the time being am very unlikely to host when he’s at home. I’m very busy with him, and it probably wouldn’t be that great for the surfer. I’ll be hosting when he’s with his mum - every second weekend :)
I have been back in Darwin for about 4 years, after living and working in London for two years. I had a great time there and am home spending time with my family and settling for a while. South America is getting higher and higher on my travel list. It is not very close to Darwin.
I am a polite, upfront, Australian who likes to meet new people and try new things. I love traveling. I love nature. I love a swim in the ocean on a hot day.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
Meeting people, sharing my experiences, listening to other people's stories whether they're fact or fiction, asking questions, and getting involved.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
First introduced after a friend sorted out some accommodation in upstate New York (Plattsburgh). Met some very nice, easy going and cool people. Nick and Vanessa, you will always be my first! :)
We used some local knowledge to find and hike (thanks to Nick) our first of the 46 peaks in the Adirondaks. If I get one every 27 years I will be 1,242 when I finish them and become a 46er. I plan to do it in under 1,000.
Concerts, squash, yoga, surfing, hosting and language exchange.
Interests
Travel, hiking, basketball, fishing, surfing, watching so many episodes of a TV show in a row that I like that it becomes a constant movie with many troughs and peaks (see: The Wire, Curb your Enthusiasm, The Sopranos, Archer, Treme et al).
I really want to try WWOOFing or Help-X some time soon.

UNREAL stories
Live music. Hip hop. Traditional jazz. Punk. Funk. Folk. Irish. Electronic. Whatever you can throw at me. I can't play it, but I'm pretty good at appreciating it!
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Surfing in south western australia ( Margaret river) and having a pod of 20-30 dolphins swim with inches of me. Bungy jumping, diving near Rottnest Island in South Western Australia. Being born.
Teach, Learn, Share
It helps to be open to new ideas. I'm trying to be more understanding of things I don't understand. Talking helps.
I'd like to learn about other ways of life. I am very slowly trying to learn Spanish. I can share what I know about London. Have you been to Colombia road flower market?
I know a lot about Darwin and the Northern Territory, so should be able to point you in the right direction. I fish quite regularly and enjoy the exploring that comes with it.
