About Me

I work in a museum in London and in my free time I love to travel and meet new people. Living abroad has allowed me to make friends from all over the world, and I'm lucky enough to have kept in contact with many of them! I'm easy to get on with, I enjoy discovering new music, playing games (card games, board games, anything really) and learning about different cultures.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm pretty open-minded and would love to stay with some like-minded travellers and learn something new in each place I travel to. I've heard great things about Couchsurfing so I knew it was the next step to try out!

I try and dabble in a bit of everything, without spreading myself too thin! I'm passionate about history, especially the 1960s where a lot of popular movements were born. I love reading fiction and non-fiction, trying to expand my ideas and talking to new people.

Music, Movies, and Books

I listen to a variety of music - sometimes I'm in a very electronic phase, e.g. tech house, and other times more mellow e.g. chill, indie. I'm also quite into conscious hip-hop. I'll listen to anything to discover new genres.
My favourite movies are Nixon, JFK, Blue is the Warmest Colour, Jackie Brown, loads more.
My favourite books are It Can't Happen Here by Sinclair Lewis and Giovanni's Room by James Baldwin.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Driving through Death Valley in California was an experience.

Teach, Learn, Share

I know lots of card shuffling techniques which are good party tricks, and a couple of old magic tricks too which I am willing to teach anyone interested. I like to learn even a few phrases in other languages. Generally, we can share travel experiences and crazy stories.

A love of travel and exchanging culture. Recommendations about where to go, a friend from London who can show you around, avoiding the tourist traps!
