I was born very young. In fact, I was so young I can’t remember a thing about what actually happened. Time passed and I grew up to be the cutest one-year-old. At least my mum told me so. My dad didn’t disagree.
More time passed and I reached the age of two. Nothing important really happened until I was seven and went to school. After the initial trauma and tears I figured out that school wasn’t that bad. You just had to say the correct answers every time the teacher asked you something and then everyone was happy - the teacher, my mum and dad, my grandma and grandpa, even the dog barked in a different way. By the time I was in the 6th grade the correct answers got replaced by not-so-correct ones. Still, I finished elementary school as an excellent student.

At high school I met my first great love, and it wasn’t photography. But… I did start to like taking photos. In fact, I liked it so much that I spent all my pocket money on my first “real” camera. It was a Canon. I finished high school as an excellent student.

At university I had to put it (the Canon) aside because I wasn’t left with much spare time. Well, that was true for the first couple of years when I was eager to learn new things but later I just forgot about my passion. Funny enough, that was the time when I had my first exhibition. As I didn’t have any recent works I showed my best high school photos. Everyone was happy, my mum and dad, my grandma and grandpa, my elementary school teacher, even the dog barked in a different way.

Digital cameras made their entrance and I realised that the image quality was nowhere near the quality of the analogue ones. I liked Canon digital cameras, I didn’t like Olympus.
After a while I bought myself an Olympus. That was the day I started taking photos again and I realised for the second time how much I enjoy it. I still think that analogue is better than digital. I still think that vinyl is better than CDs.

I’m also a teacher, but that’s a completely different story. Well actually, the beginning is the same :)
