Overview
About Me
My name is Tomoki, I am New Zealand born Kiwi but
my parents are both Japanese.
I lived at Christchurch with my family so I grew up with culture between New Zealand and Japan so I can speak both English and Japanese fluently.
I played football for 10 years until high school and enjoyed a lot. I played for 1st XI at St Andrews College and went to National Football Tournament at my last year of High school.
Recently I finished my study at Victoria University of Wellington, completing Master of Interior Architecture which is slightly different from Architecture, but more specific in spatial experience and interior design of architecture.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I am just a beginner for CS, decided to make my account as I am planning to travel to Europe for a month on April 2015.
I enjoy taking photos of amazing architecture around the world and wants to experience those spaces.
Interests
One of the main reason I studied Architecture was because I was excited for imagining 2D drawing become a real 3D object and thought how I could involve to those exciting industry.
My cultural background having Japanese ethnicity also influenced me, as there were many well known architecture and architect from Japan internationally.

MUSIC:
I usually listen to Japanese music in range of type, but mainly Rock, Raggae, Rap, and J-pop. My favourite music band are BACK-ON, BUMP OF CHICKEN, UVERworld, Def Tech, MEGARYU, and Earthmind.

My final design project for University was published in Australasian Interior Architecture Magazine "Artichoke".
Teach, Learn, Share
I am happy to share my living experience in-between New Zealand and Japanese culture. How I grew up and learnt Japanese culture in Foreign country, how I managed to able to speak both English and Japanese fluently, and so on.
I would love to chat and talk about architecture and interior design, and football.
