ABOUT ME

We moved to Utah in 2006. We have lived across the country including Colorado, Alaska, New Mexico, Oregon, Connecticut, Wyoming, Michigan, and now Utah. Anton is the Director of the Faculty Center at Utah Valley University and Professor of Behavioral Science. Patricia went back to school and earned an Associates Degree in Science in 2009 after her sons finished college. We have had a few opportunities to travel to Europe and meet beautiful people and see some amazing places. We continue to be amazed at the beauty that can be found around the world.

PHILOSOPHY

We love to meet new people and to share ideas. We are interested in understanding how other people view the world and life. We enjoy the beauty of the earth and the people in it!

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

We tell others about Couchsurfing and recommend they check it out. I think it is a fantastic idea. Since we built our home in Orem, UT just over a year ago we can now invite others to come and see the Provo Canyon, Sundance Resort, Timpanogos Cave and more.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

We couchsurfed during our trip to Europe in the summer of 2008 and had an incredible time as we visited Austria, Slovenia, and Italy. We look forward to hosting others who would like to visit Utah. We are only 10 minutes from the entrance to the Provo Canyon, 20 minutes from Sundance Resort, 20 minutes from the American Fork Canyon and Alpine Loop,

Hobbies: My wife enjoys art, quilting, theater and literature. Before we were married she served a mission in New York. We have two grown sons working hard on their interests of Performing Arts and Law. I Anton: I like games (especially board games), reading, and learning about many things! We are LDS and enjoy wholesome activities. I served a mission in Chile and also spent some time in Latin America doing humanitarian and medical projects. I have written a book on depression and several other articles on learning and the legal system. Patricia: loves to quilt, has done some painting, enjoys gardening and travel, and the theater.

Morceaux de musique, films et livres

Very wide tastes. We like "soft" rock 'n roll (Beatles, etc.), jazz, classical music. Also, alternative. I am currently a real fan of Death Cab for Cutie. We like many movies ranging from old classics (Casablanca) to newer ones. I am a lifelong fan of JRR Tolkien and fantasy literature as well as science fiction literature.

Une aventure extraordinaire que j'ai vécue

For Anton: vaccinating the children of a village in the remote parts of Paraguay by myself. For both of us: seeing the world from the vantage point of Monte Blanc, the spectacular Pont du Gard, coming face to face with Michaelangelo's the David, and enjoying the daily sunsets on the face of our local Mt. Timpanogos.

Enseignez, apprenez, partagez

We love to learn about other cultures, share the history of other nations. Anton can wax eloquent about psychopaths, competency to stand trial, the insanity defense, and most aspects of clinical psychology and mental disorders -- also teaching and learning! Patricia loves genealogy and working to find and connect families.
